Long before creator culture and viral TikTok beauty trends, I became obsessed with a simple idea: what if feathers could become wearable hair accessories that looked natural, expressive, and effortlessly cool?

In 2009, I started researching everything I could about how feathers could safely and beautifully be added to hair. After testing different materials and techniques, I discovered a specific type of rooster feather that blended seamlessly into hair and could be washed, brushed, curled, straightened, and worn naturally for weeks at a time using silicone-lined microbeads designed to protect the hair.

What started as an experiment quickly became something much bigger. Through FeatherExtension.com, I helped bring feather hair extensions into the mainstream during the early 2010s, with the trend eventually appearing worldwide and my designs being featured in publications including OK! Magazine.

At its peak, FeatherExtension.com supplied salons, boutiques, resorts, and beauty destinations ; including Beaches and Sandals Resorts, while helping thousands of people express themselves through color, texture, and individuality.

What I love most is the reaction people have when they see them for the first time. The feathers blend so naturally into hair that people often mistake them for colorful braids, and every set felt personal, playful, and completely unique.
